The objectives of the corporation are to provide 'at-risk' and 'disengaged' Aboriginal youth with a culturally appropriate Mentoring Program, targeted at addressing the social disadvantage and complex needs experienced by children in the Great Southern of Western Australia.
Provide Aboriginal youth with activities designed to address various social and emotional issues such as isolation, depression, trauma, loss of cultural identity and lack of positive role models. This will be achieved through the provision of intensive mentoring workshops and ongoing encouragement to support children in coping with their individual challenges. The activities will be delivered in a culturally appropriate and sensitive manner to cater for the needs of Aboriginal children and is facilitated by trained and experienced (male and female) Aboriginal mentors that offer a broad range of expertise and life experiences.
Promote Cultural connection through Cultural Mentoring Workshops and provide Healing through connections to Culture.
Provide Capacity Building and Leadership training to youth.
Prison Release program for Indigenous Adults/Juveniles
Provide Mentoring around Behaviour and Anger Management issues.
Divert Aboriginal youth away Crime and substance abuse.
Assist with Education and Sporting activities.
Promote physical and mental well-being.
Provide Cultural Awareness training to Government and Non-Government agencies.
Conduct and run sporting activities/Camps in the Great Southern for Aboriginal youth.
Operate a Boot Camp Program to assist youth become Leaders and develop Team Building
